Please join us for one of our flagship programs, the Malcolm Monroe Federal Practice Seminar, on December 4, 2024. This program is perfect for new attorneys, seasoned attorneys who would like to be admitted to practice in federal court, or a lawyer who needs a few last minute CLE credits. This program will fulfill a portion of the required continuing legal education credits (1 Professionalism, 1 Ethics, 1 Law Practice Management and 1 General Hour) and it culminates in a ceremony during which attendees have the option to be sworn in and admitted to practice in some or all of the federal courts in Louisiana including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Membership in the FBA is required to participate in this special program. However, in partnership with the National FBA, we are offering free dues for the first year for any Malcolm Monroe attendee. Instructions on how to join are in the registration packet. Also new this year, the NOFBA has secured a room block for any out of town attorney who would like to take advantage of this unique program offering (details in the registration packet). Following the program, the New Orleans Chapter of the FBA will host a Holiday Cocktail Party in the Great Hall of the Fifth Circuit Wisdom Courthouse that is complementary to NOFBA members. In order to be admitted to the different Louisian federal courts, attendees must complete a registration packet.
The deadline to submit your packet is Wednesday, November 13, 2024. The registration packet and additional forms needed can be below.
