The “Federal Judicial Law Clerk” Committee is hosting its first event for the 2024-2025 FBA year: the annual French Quarter Historic Walking Tour on October 24, 2024. The tour is FREE for all current EDLA and Fifth Circuit law clerks and former law clerks of any federal court practicing in the New Orleans area.

FBA - Bankruptcy Symposium
On Tuesday, September 24th from 3-4 p.m. the New Orleans Chapter of the FBA will host a Bankruptcy CLE for non-bankruptcy and bankruptcy practitioners focused on bankruptcy for the small business client. Topics will include eligibility issues, what to do about personal guarantees and conflicts, when to talk to a bankruptcy attorney, what to do instead of bankruptcy, and how to recognize conflicts in representing a company and its long term board members or ownership.
