The second presentation in the Judge Martin Feldman Federal Practice Series will discuss Diversity Jurisdiction under 28 USC 1332, both in actions brought directly in Federal Court and in actions removed to Federal Court. The presentation will include timeliness of removed actions and compliance with procedural directives. The focus of the CLE will be on how to properly allege citizenship of the parties—individuals and various entities—how to determine whether the amount in controversy exceeds $75,000, and which party bears the burden of proving these matters.
