An Evening with FBA: Private Tour of Helis Foundation John Scott Center

Join the FBA for our next Evening with the FBA event which is a private tour of the Helis Foundation John Scott Center. The Helis Foundation John Scott Center is an interactive gathering space that fosters dialogue and cultivates community. The center presents expansive ideas of heritage and symbolism interpreted through the lens of artist, educator, and humanist John T. Scott’s life, art, and legacy while promoting opportunities that nurture connections and enhance human potential. Fifty-one works of art in a 6,000-square-foot gallery space present Scott’s visionary approach to art, culture, and storytelling. By examining his art, which uplifts historically excluded and marginalized voices, we immerse our local, national, and international audiences in the heritage, culture, and history underlying critical present-day issues. Our tour will begin at 5:30 p.m. at 938 Lafayette St., New Orleans. Attendees are invited to join us at Maypop (611 O'Keefe Ave, New Orleans) for a pre-tour cocktail at 5:00 p.m. We will then walk across the street to the Helis Foundation at 5:30. Tickets are $25.00 each for FBA members, future FBA members, and guests. Due to the interactive nature of the tour, space is limited. Advance registration is required.
